Lupo Parking originated as a public parking lot that was in use for several years. However, in December 2017, a serious accident occurred in which a large portion of the central roof collapsed, damaging several cars parked below. From that point on, a long and complex negotiation began with the heirs of the property. After careful negotiations, the purchase of the property was finalized in 2019. Subsequently, restoration work began, requiring several years of planning and study. The actual work finally began in 2021. This included the reinforcement and repair of all pillars, the reconstruction of the walls, and the complete renovation of the roof's load-bearing structure using chestnut wood from Mount Etna. During the renovation, traditional methods were adopted to ensure the utmost authenticity and quality of the materials used. The insulated paneling was covered with old Sicilian tiles, while the flooring was made with industrial concrete. Furthermore, all restrooms have been completely restored, including a bathroom specifically equipped for disabled guests. Not only has the structure been restored, but modern security systems, including electrical, fire prevention, burglar alarms, and video surveillance, have also been implemented. These efforts took 15 months of work, far exceeding the three months initially stipulated in the contract. It's important to note that Parcheggio Lupo was restored without benefiting from incentives or bonuses, demonstrating the commitment and dedication to revitalizing a truly unique parking facility. Today, Parcheggio Lupo is a reborn location that offers quality services and a safe environment for its customers.
